How to set screen lock password on the latest Android phones 2020

Set screen lock password on phone help you keep your phone information and data secure from children or other people curious about using your phone. The following article will guide you how to set the password above Android phone, stay tuned!

The tutorial article below is done on line Galaxy S10 + phones running Android 10. If you have a different Android phone or another Android version, the interface may change, but the procedure will be the same.

1. Step 1: Set the lock screen in Settings

Go to the icon Setting in the phone> Select Lock screen > Click the item Screen lock type.

2. Step 2: Choose the type of screen lock to secure your phone

There will be many types of screen locks for you to choose, the article will guide you to set the password according to each type of lock right below.

– Pattern (average security level)

In Screen lock type > Select Pattern to set the screen lock settings by drawing a pattern.

Draw the pattern you want to make the lock password

Here you proactively set the pattern for drawing Click Continue > Draw the pattern again> Click Confirm.
Note: Remember to remember the picture you set up because if you forget to reset your phone settings, the data will be lost.

At this time, another message box will appear Completed > Click Agree.

Click Finish> Click Agree.

– PIN (fairly secure level)

Click on the item THE BATTERY > Set up a code of your choice> Press Continue > Enter pin code confirmation again> Press OK, got it to complete password settings.
Note: Choose a code that is familiar to you and remember. If you forget, you will need to reset your phone and data will be lost.

Click on the item Code > Set a password (including letters, numbers and characters) as you wish> Press Continue > Enter the password again to confirm> Press OK, got it to complete.

3. Set additional biometric security (optional)

– Face

Slide the stick to the right to turn on password setting mode by face recognition> You will receive an introduction for face recognition feature> Press Continue.

This will bring up another message box, select Have If you wear glasses or choose Is not if you don’t wear glasses> Press Next.

Select Yes if you wear glasses or choose No if you don't wear glasses

Click Next to set the face recognition password

In the section Useful feature You slide the bar to the right to turn on mode lighten the screen to recognize faces even in the dark and press OK, got it > Click Completed.

– Fingerprint

After enable fingerprint unlock mode > A notification appears about the screen note note you read carefully and press OK, got it > Put your finger on the sensor, lift up when it vibrates.

Put the fingerprint on the sensor to set the identification

Identify the edge of the fingerprint at the sensor so that the system remembers the data to the fullest and press Continue > Appears added Fingerprint notification> Tap Completed.

Click Finish to set up fingerprint unlock

You should set your phone screen lock password with both security screen lock with biometric security to enhance security and unlock faster.
